Big Rep - Safety, Operation & Basic Use

Introduction to the BigRep Studio G2 printer.

Description

This intermediate training covers how to safely operate the BigRep Studio G2. You will learn how to setup the printer, import 3D models, assign materials, send jobs to the machine, how to clean support material from your final print, and properly clean and close out the printer after a job. This course will serve as an introduction to large-scale 3D printing on the BigRep Studio G2, taking you through the step-by-step process from 3D model to fully fashioned part. This process requires fine attention to detail and pre-planning for print run-times that can range from 10 to 100 hours or more.

Proficiency on prerequisite equipment is required and up to the discretion of the shop staff. Users should have produced a successful project on the prerequisite equipment before registering for this course.

To maximize the learning from this training, participants are encouraged to bring a file that they would like to potentially print.
