An introduction to the Ultimaker 3D printers

Description

In this class, users will learn how to safely operate the Ultimaker S5 and Ultimaker 3 Extended including how to setup the printers, import 3D models, assign specific materials to the print, send the job to the machine, clean support material from your final print, and properly clean and close out the printer after a job. This process requires fine attention to detail and pre-planning for print run-times that can range from 2 to 24 hours or more.

Materials

The Ultimaker printers can print in a wide variety of materials including PLA, ABS, PETG and composite materials with both dissolvable and breakaway support materials.

Audience

This is a safety and basic use course suitable for all shop users interested in 3D printing
