Safety and basic use of the Epilog Fusion Pro laser cutters in the San Francisco Technology Center additive shop.

Description

You will learn how to safely operate the Epilog Fusion Pro Laser Cutter. The San Francisco Technology Center has two Fusion Pro machines, each with a bed size of 36”x48”. You will receive firsthand experience exporting a 2D drawing file, setting up the laser cutter, cutting and etching with the machine. After this course, you can expect to laser cut any 2D vector drawing or etch any raster drawing into a wide variety of materials.  

Materials: Plywood, solid wood, cardboard, paper, acrylic, leather, and many more. 

Audience: This is a safety and basic use class suitable for all shop users interested in digital fabrication.
