Fire Extinguisher Training (San Francisco)

Safety and effective use of the fire extinguishers at the Technology Center San Francisco. Required for all workshop users.

Description

This course will give you information needed to identify different types of fires and extinguishers, how to communicate with our on-site safety teams, and teach you hands-on skills to address our most likely fires at Pier 9. Training materials address the laser cutters in depth. Every participant will practice using the LED fire extinguisher simulator and get hands-on experience.

Audience: This is a safety class suitable for workshop users of all levels of experience. This course is required for access to the workshop.

**Please Note: For the safety of our users, we are currently limiting workshop access and prioritizing trainings for residents and employees with business-critical fabrication needs. Safety training registrations are therefore available by request only. If you have been approved for shop access within the next two weeks, please email technology.center.shop.classes@autodesk.com to request registration. In your email please include some details on what project you’ve been approved for, and the approver.

This class has a minimum registration of 2 students. If the minimum has not been met by Tuesday afternoon the week of the training, that week's session will be cancelled and you will be asked to transfer to another session.
