Intro to CNC - CAM Programming

An introduction to CAM Programming, 2D/3D tool path strategies, and machining.

Description

This class is a deep dive into the technical and CAM setup for CNC machining. Using Fusion 360, tool pathing strategies, techniques, and applications are explored in great detail. Intended to complement the part one of the training, this portion is more software heavy. Users will setup and toolpath a part of their choosing in Fusion CAM. 

Introduction to general machining theory and practice using Fusion360 CAM, with a focus on:

  • File set-up
  • Stock set-up
  • 2D and 3D toolpaths
  • Post processing
