This course will teach you how to safely use the microelectronics studio and introduce you to basic techniques for hand tools related to electronics fabrication. We review: AC vs DC electrical systems, safe use of voltage and current, and basic electronic components. The course covers hands-on-experience with wire-stripping tools, solder stations and heat-shrinking guns. 

Audience 
This is a safety orientation and basic use course suitable for workshop users of all levels of experience. This course is required in order to gain access to the Microelectronics Studio.
