Electronics - Safety & Basic Use (San Francisco)

Safety and basic use of the TCSF Electronics Lab. This class is required for Electronics Lab badge access.

Description

This course will teach you how to safely use the lab and introduce you to basic techniques for hand tools related to electronics fabrication. We review: AC vs DC electrical systems, safe use of voltage and current, and basic electronic components. The course covers hands-on-experience with wire-stripping tools, solder stations and heat-shrinking guns.  

Audience: This is a safety, orientation and basic use course suitable for workshop users of all levels of experience. This course is required in order to gain access to the Electronics Lab.
