Introduction to printing on the Markforged 3D printer

Description

This course will teach users how to safely use the Markforged FX20 and Desktop printers, including strategies for continuous fiber reinforcement (CFR). By the end of this course, users will have the skills to turn their 3D digital model into a physical printed object using the Markforged FFF machines. The FX20 has a build volume of 525mm x 400mm x 400mm and the Desktop machines have a build volume of 320mm x 132mm x 154mm.

Materials
There are 4 machines, each loaded with different material profiles for printing (Onyx / Nylon + Kevlar / Fiberglass / Carbon Fiber). Support structures are printed from model material. The FX20 can also print Ultem for high temperature applications.

Audience
This is a safety and basic use class suitable for all shop users. Experience with 3D modeling is recommended, but not required.
