Description

Learn to weld steel together! This is a quick introduction to the MIG welding process, which is a popular, fast way to join metals. It will cover safety, startup & shutdown, basic MIG technique, and common problems. MIG is a great process for first-time welders!

***Long pants and closed toe shoes are required, Steel toe boots are recommended for this course. Long pants and safety toe coverings are the minimum required for access to the shop.

TCBO Fire Extinguisher Training

Intro to Metal Fabrication

Materials

Mild steel for this training, though MIG can be used to weld most other metals, too. 

Audience

This is a basic use class suitable for all shop users interested in MIG welding.
