San Francisco CNC Pathway 3 - Advanced CAM Programming
Build on the CAM programming you learned in CNC 2 with the 3rd class in this series
Description
Students will program their own part in Fusion 360 or Inventor HSM Pro 2016 by building on the toolpathing strategies from CNC 2. Practice multiple setups, part flips, machining overhangs, planning for irregular stock, and chamfering. This class teaches the basic skills required to program the certification part in the presence of an instructor.
*Students must bring their own laptop with the software installed.
Audience
This programming class is suitable for students with Fusion or Inventor experience. This class is the final part of the CNC Learning Path in san Francisco, and completes the software training started in CNC 2. (While the Pathway is not a prerequisite for any classes in Boston or Toronto, it still provides a valuable introduction for anyone wishing to learn the fundamentals of CNC.) After taking this class, students may schedule time with an instructor to demonstrate the CAM proficiency required in order to use the following CNC machines at the San Francisco Technology Center:
