Haas Mini Mill - Safety, Operation, & Basic Use

Learn the basics of safely operating the HAAS Mini Mill 3-axis vertical CNC machine.

This precision machining course covers setup and safe operation of the HAAS Mini Mill. Users will be required to be hands-on with the machine to change and probe tools. Users will follow the process of setting up tooling, setting work offsets, and verifying that the program will successfully run on the machine. A demo-part will also be cut. Users will be given a brief overview of the program setup in Fusion 360 and will be shown how to verify a program and post the g-code to the machine.  

Materials 

Metals (aluminum, mild steel, stainless steel, titanium, etc), plastics, some types of composites (check with shop staff), and others. 

Audience 

This is a safety and basic use class suitable for shop users of all levels of experience and is a good starting point to gain experience in CNC milling.
