Safety and basic steel welding techniques with the TIG welder.

Description

Learn how to safely operate the TIG (tungsten inert gas) welder safely. TIG welding produces a precise and attractive weld. This course will teach you welding concepts and how to setup the welder, use the shielding gas and torch, and prepare materials. Welding requires the use of special safety equipment. Students will get hands-on-experience practicing weld beads and determining its quality. After this class, you will be able to start basic welding projects and are encouraged to practice your welds. 

Materials: Mild and stainless steel. 

Audience: This safety and basic use class is for all skill levels. Students should come to class wearing clothes and shoes made of natural fibers or leather.
