Welding - TIG Aluminum - Safety, Operation, & Basic Use

Learn the more advanced techniques you'll use to weld aluminum on the TIG welder.

Description

Learn how to safely operate the TIG (tungsten inert gas) welder safely. TIG welding with aluminum has unique challenges that require different methods than welding steel. This course will teach you how to setup the welder, and use the shielding gas and torch. You will also practice joint techniques and try to improve the quality of your weld. After this class, you will be able to determine what makes a good quality weld, practice, and start aluminum welding projects.

Materials: Aluminum

Audience: This safety and basic use class is for workshop users who have some welding experience. It is helpful if you have taken the TIG Steel course previously. Students should come to class wearing clothes and shoes made of natural fibers or leather.

Please Note: registration closes 24 hours before the start of class. Please reach out to technology.center.shop.classes@autodesk.com for inquiries about joining the training after registration has closed.
