Safety and basic use of entry level machines in the metal shop.

Description

Learn how to safely operate the core machines in the Metal Shop including: 

This course covers Metal Shop safety procedures and equipment. You will learn how to operate and adjust machines to cut, shape, and drill metal. Students will receive hands-on-experience cutting metal and will demonstrate proficiency on each machine. After this class, you will be able to make safe and accurate cuts using the power tools in the Metal Shop to safely begin basic metal projects. 

Materials: Mild steel, aluminum and other metals 

Audience: This safety and basic use class is for workshop users of all skill levels. It is a great starting point for learning to work with metal.
